some tips i know abt photography...
1. its not necessary that ur subject shld be at the center , check out for the 'Rule of thirds' is google.. u ll get a better idea wat I am trying to tell u.
2.While capturing a pic , the background of your subject is also imp , make sure the background doesnt ruin the beauty of ur capture...
